“The best moments in reading are when you come across something – a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things – which you had thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours.”
– Alan bennett
My sense of Truth has mostly been shaped by my life experience to date, by gradually developing a connection with my own intuition, by lstening to and observing others and through silent contemplation and prayer. But the things that continue to challenge me also make me curious, and this curiosity often drives me in search of other people’s experiences, shared through books and on film.
I’ve read many books and accessed a lot of open-source, on-line, video and web-based resources. The ones that have been particularly helpful to me, in acknowledging and articulating what the felt sense of my intuition had been patiently trying to tell me, are listed on the following pages (with embedded links, where possible).
Each of them represents some aspect of their creator’s personal Truth but, as the quotes above and below reflect, it’s often when we’re sharing something most personal about ourselves that we also touch something deeply felt by others too.
I hope you find something here that’s inspiring, encouraging or of comfort and reassurance to you.
“What is most personal is most universal”
– Carl Jung
